Educational Assistant, RCH Psychiatry
Education: B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Hispanic Studies from Pepperdine University
Teaching Experience: I started tutoring in High school and continued in college when I volunteered as a tutor and teaching assistant in a juvenile detention facility. Throughout college was also a freshmen mentor and helped teach a freshmen seminar as well as teach Mad Science, where I would teach camps, workshops, and after school classes. When I moved to the Portland area I started working residential, but I wanted to transition back to education. Being able to work as an educational assistant in the Behavioral Unit is the perfect fit for me.
Hobbies: I absolutely love snowboarding, being able to get to the mountain as much as possible is a big priority in the winter. I like hanging out with my dog and going on hikes and I am a huge nerd. I love talking about anything and everything, especially science, history, or television related.
My top books: I really love books and series where there is the entire world around the character is very well established like in Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and A Song of Ice and Fire.
