The Hospital School Program at RCH Psychiatry partners with patients and their families to stay connected to their school work and to assist in a smooth transition back to school after discharge. Against likely expectations, the program has a relaxed environment where a majority of patients feel comfortable and get engaged making progress on their school issues. The program has a full staff of 2 Master’s level Special Educators and a highly trained educational assistant working a year-round school year, serving approximately 700 patients per year.
